Announcing International BiReCon 2010

11 September, 2009

BiUKOn August 26th 2010 the first international BiReCon event will be taking place in London, UK, as the first day of the weekend-long international BiCon. The event brings together cutting edge international researchers and writers with activists, organisations and members of the bi community.

This year we have a number of prominent international writers, researchers and activists presenting their work. We already have confirmed keynote talks from Jonathan Alexander (from the Journal of Bisexuality), Robyn Ochs (from the Bisexual Resources Centre, and author of ‘Getting Bi’), Steven Angelides (author of ‘A History of

Bisexuality’), and Serena Anderlini D’Onofrio (author of many works on bisexuality, and most recently ‘ Gaia and the New Politics of Love’). We will also be show-casing the work on bisexuality that is currently happening in the UK.

As well as hearing about current research, BiReCon is an opportunityto share good practice about working with bi people in your group or organisation, and to attend workshops about various current aspects of bisexuality worldwide. It is an opportunity to network with others

working in the field, to share good practice, and there will be spacesavailable to conduct research which fits within the ethos of the event.
