There’s a bumper round of bi group meetings tonight.
In Bristol, Brighton and Sheffield, bis will be getting together – probably with the recent BiCon a common subject for chatter, but how about turning up and sharing whatever’s on your mind too?
Bristol: meet at the Louisiana on the harbourside from 7pm (BS1 6UA)
Brighton: meet at The Friends Meeting House, Ship Street BN1 1AF from 6:30-8:30 pm with the first half hour reserved for for newcomers – and then everyone welcome from 7pm onwards
Sheffield: Meet at the Rutland Arms, look for the blue frog (of destiny!) to find the group – from 8pm.
Meet them at Pride - or before!
Brighton bi social & support group Bothways are gearing up ready for Brighton Pride which is now ten days away – so if you want someone to go to Pride with now’s the time to meet the bis ahead of the festival.
They tell us:
Brighton BothWays is giving the regular events a pre-pride focus and having a PubMeet.
Our regular Talky Space will be on the first Thursday as usual (today, 4th August 6-30-8:30pm at the Friends Meeting House, Ship Street Brighton, BN1 1AF, the first half hour is reserved for newcomers).
Our CoffeeMeet is now on 6th of August to avoid clashing with Pride (3-5pm at Red Roaster Coffee House, 1d St James Street Brighton, BN2 1RE).
And we’re having a PubMeet on the Thursday before Pride 11th August (7-10pm at Church Street Bar, 112 Church Street Brighton BN1 1UD).
With the last of the Spring’s flurry of bank holidays behind us, June is about to begin – so here is BiMedia’s roundup of the first few bi dates of the new month.
Wednesday is Glasgow’s monthly bi meet-up, from 7pm. See the BiScotland website for details.
Thursday it’s Brighton’s monthly “talky space” group for bi people to talk about anything bi-related on their mind in the quiet calm of a community centre – Friends Meeting House, Ship Street – rather than the bustle of a pub. Find out more at the Bothways website.
And Friday night (and into early Saturday) it’s the bimonthly bi adult club night, Bi Bi Baby, in Romford.
The following week it’ll be BiPhoria for bisexuals in Manchester on the Tuesday, from 730pm at the new LGF building on Richmond Street.
Brighton’s regular bi coffee meet takes place this Saturday – organised by Brighton Bothways. If you’re in the area why not pop along and join them?
We’re always keen to hear about bi meet-ups and groups across the UK: let us know your meeting dates!
It’s May already! And once the extra-long bank holiday weekend is over it’s back to business for lots of bi groups.
Manchester’s BiPhoria are meeting on Tuesday night from 7.30pm for their talky-space social support group.
The night after it’s Glasgow bi group‘s monthly meetup, and over in Dublin it’s Bi Lunch.
Thursday Brighton Bothways take their turn.
And on Friday the week winds up with Romford’s Bi Bi Baby adult club night.
As ever – let us know of anything we’re missing in these weekly look-aheads!
