Happy Celebrate Bisexuality Day!

23 September - it's International Celebrate Bisexuality Day

23 September - it's International Celebrate Bisexuality Day

A fabulous International Celebrate Bisexuality Day to all our readers – it’s ten years since the first “ICBD” was marked. Back then here in the UK the only event to mark the occasion was a half-dozen bis propping up a corner of a bar in Manchester.

This year there are events in Birmingham, London, Manchester, Norwich and Sheffield – and perhaps even the odd one we’ve yet to hear of! Whether you attend one of those events, mark the date by talking about bisexuality to friends or work colleagues, change your facebook photo to a bi ribbon or just privately to yourself – happy bi day!

Smutty Storytelling for Celebrate Bisexuality Day

How better to mark International Celebrate Bisexuality Day on 23rd September than with Bisexual Smutty Storytelling, and a bit to eat beforehand.

That’s what the Sheffield Bi Group have lined up with the fabulous Jacqueline Applebee, all the way from London for your delectation!

Bisexuals, friends and allies welcome!

Venue: Coop cafe on London Rd, Sheffield
Time 7-10pm

Sheffield group say, “The cafe will have yummy food at reasonable prices. You can bring your own wine (£2 corkage) and stories will start from 8.30pm.”

The event is free, but donations for Jacqui’s travel costs for coming up from London would be welcomed.

Next stop Sheffield

Sheffield Bi Group closed down a little while ago but this summer’s Pride festival could be a great chance to kick-start it again. Sheffield Pride is on Saturday, June 20th.

There will be a bi stall with local and national info, so be sure to drop by, say hello and see how you can get involved making a Sheffield bi scene happen once again.
