Scottish campaign group the Equality Network launched their ‘It’s Time’ equal marriage video campaign today.
The date is chosen to mark five years since the Equality Network started to campaign for equal marriage, in June 2008. It also comes at the beginning of an important week in which the Scottish Government are set to introduce the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Scotland) Bill in the Scottish Parliament.
The video campaign features a host of leading Scottish celebrities, the First Minister, leaders of the main opposition parties, religious ministers, and couples from across Scotland, all voicing their support for Equal Marriage and declaring ‘It’s Time’ for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality in Scotland.
