The organisers of next year’s International Conference on Bisexuality are holding a Venue Visit with open invitations. If you’d like to come along and see where BiCon will be held, you just need to come along and say hello.
They told BiMedia: “We’re putting the finishing touches to our website, but while we wait for the paint to dry we thought we’d announce something early.
On Saturday December 5th we’re planning a Sneak Preview Site Visit!
We’ve confirmed the dates now with the venue, UEL Docklands, and so we were thinking that it’d be nice to show it to people ahead of time. It’s certainly easier to come up with ideas for BiCon sessions, events and activities if you’ve seen the space, and that doesn’t just apply to the BiCon team.
If you came to BiCon 2003 you will remember some of the venue, but we’re using more central session spaces, a brand new bar (that’s only just finished!) and much better accommodation (with lift access to all flats).
Come along and meet the BiCon team, ask us questions, make suggestions, see the venue, the bar, the bedrooms. And book for BiCon!
(afterwards we may adjourn to a pub to brainstorm BiCon ideas – but we haven’t decided which pub yet. Keep an eye on www.bicon2010.org.uk for an update on that)
The campus is right next to the Cyprus DLR station. Meet us on the bridge over the station just before 1pm.
Contact info@bicon2010.org.uk if you have any questions or want to RSVP (it’s nice to have an idea of numbers – but you can also just turn up on the day)
