While Downing Street’s lesbian & gay reception kept itself to itself, the key speech at the equivalent event across the pond has now been published on the White House’s TV channel.
Sometimes hidden by a mass of hand-held cameras waved aloft, US President Barack Obama asks LGBT activists to judge him by what he has delivered and will go on to deliver for equality over his first four years in the role – and pays tribute to the work going on at personal and local levels to change attitudes as well as high-profile national campaign work.
