Twenty years on from the first such event, the BECAUSE bisexuality conference begins three weeks from now in St Paul, Minnesota.
BECAUSE (“Bisexual Empowerment Conference: A Uniting and Supportive Experience” – they might just have started with the acronym and then made the words fit!) is similar to the UK BiCon conference, with speakers, discussion workshops and evening entertainments as well as the chance to hang out with a bunch of bi and bifriendly people for a weekend.
Keynote speakers include Amy Andre, Lisa Diamond, Elise Mattheson, Robyn Ochs, Ron Fox, Cecelia Tan, Carol Queen, and Hannah Miyamoto.
Advance registration closes in two weeks time, and the conference is on the weekend of April 20-22: if you’re planning on going, get those booking forms in now!
And if Minnesota is a little to far to travel, maybe BiCon in Bradford this August is closer to home?
