Following the significant margin of support for the Same-sex Marriage Bill at second reading in the Lords two weeks ago, the bill today begins its Committee stages in the Upper House.
It’s expected to have two more days of committee hearings before returning to the House for the third reading.
Further wrecking amendments have been tabled by Lord Dear and Lord Mawhinney.
