Ireen Wüst wins fourth medal at Sochi

Bisexual speedskater Ireen Wüst has won her fourth medal of the 2012 Winter Olympics for the Netherlands.
She started the games by winning gold in the 3,000m and has now notched up silver in the 1,000m, 1,500m and 5,000m contests.  Her silver medal in today’s 5km race saw her cover the distance in under seven minutes.
Wüst has been the most successful of the seven out LGBT athletes at this year’s games, with one of the biggest medal tallies of any competitor at the Winter Olympics.
After her gold medal win she attracted extra media attention after receiving a congratulatory hug from homophobic Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
