A petition has been started challenging Google’s blocking of searching on ‘bisexual’ on its instant search system.
As reported on BiMedia more than a year ago and more recently taken up in the Huffington Post, ‘bisexual’ is one of the words blocked in the search engine’s automatically suggested answers. You can start typing “gay” and as you type suggested words and links appear; similarly for lesbian, pansexual and other words. ‘Bisexual’ however is blocked – type “lesbian” and the word “community” appears as a suggestion, but Google won’t give users the same hint of there being a bi community out there to search for.

Why block any words. It won’t stop people from getting to the content anyway.
Banning bisexual as a term is not right. This is a valid term and deserves the same rights as any other sexual expression.
It could be that it’s blocked because bisexual contains the word sexual. I don’t think that google is intentionally trying to be against bisexuality.
Words like “pansexual” aren’t caught in the same trap.
Bisexual people need extra support, as we are more invisible.
Why are any words banned? Please stop blocking the name of a whole group of people!
This ban is stupid. Doesn’t even sound real O.o
