for years l have been battle my sexuality now l have stopped and accept that l am bi so far all of my friends and workmates accept me do l tell my family. robert
Only you know your family… I think the top tips are to consider whether you are dependent on them (eg will a bad reaction leave you homeless?) and to do it at a time of low stress all around (“hi sis, good luck with your driving test today, by the way I’m bi” may not catch someone in the best frame of mind).
Also if you can make it about doing something social rather than simply being bi that can help: “I went to the bi social group in town last night” is about you going out and meeting people, whereas for some folk “I’m bisexual” on its own makes them think about your sex life and may be uncomfortable. That way they can ask about where it is, who you met etc – rather than picturing you in bed! 🙂
